Custom photography is different than your standard big-box studio experience…in a good way! It begins with our first interactions, where we will talk about your specific needs and ideas, and customize a session just for you. All sessions take place on-location, which means we may head to the beach, or the lake, or 
maybe even keep it in the comfort of your own home.
My shooting style is very relaxed, and I prefer natural interaction whenever I can catch it! I usually try for a mix of candid and more posed shots. Sometimes I may send you off to interact with one another while I stand back and capture you from a distance. Sometimes I might tell you to tilt your head and squish together, or other things that may feel awkward but look really nice. :) I know that kids and babies are unpredictable and don’t always feel like having their pictures taken, and I understand! I have some tricks up my sleeve, and also think there can be much beauty in capturing children just as they are in the moment.
After the session, I will go through our images to weed out duplicates, awkward faces (there are always some of those), and shots that I messed up (it happens!). Only the images that meet my very high standards (usually 20-30) will go on to the next phase, and the rest are deleted. :) I take this collection of the best of the best and edit them to perfection before placing them in your online gallery. Oh and I usually post a sneak peek or two during this process on facebook, so be sure you have “liked” my page!
Your gallery will be online for 14 days, where you can make your selections and place your order. I love to help you decide on prints and products and I offer some pretty awesome stuff. We will talk about what you would like out of the session in our pre-session conversations. The gallery is totally shareable (you can even post to facebook) and anyone is welcome to place an order. Galleries are always password protected, so you choose who gets to see your images.
After your order is complete, I will package everything up with lots of love and care and ship it off to you! Or if you are local, I will probably drop it off. ;)
