This beautiful girl came down from Washington over Easter weekend, and we squeezed her in for a last minute senior session! She was a total natural and looked stunning on this nice sunny morning on the beach. Big thanks to her mom, Michele, who became my assistant for the shoot and made some of these shots possible!

P.S. I love love love shooting senior sessions, and what better backdrop is there than the beach?!  Send me a note to book your session!

Becky’s senior portrait session on the beach in Lincoln City

Becky came all the way from Central Oregon to have her senior portraits on the beach!  Of course it stormed like crazy the week before our session, and I was so nervous about the weather.  As it turned out, we got a perfectly dry morning with just a hint of sun–perfect morning light!  And, she was so brave, she even laid down in the sand for me.  Overall, she made my job really easy…just look at how gorgeous she is!

I love babies.  I have known for what seems like my whole life that I was destined to work with babies in some form or another. So it seems natural that everything about newborn photography makes my heart sing. This particular session was so lovely.  Bennett slept so peacefully, even as I moved him around, wrapped him up, and even carefully arranged his tiny fingers a few times.  He was a perfect model, and after a snack break, even posed for some awake shots as well.  I so enjoyed meeting this family.  His mama and I share a midwife, and I have been reading her blog for quite awhile.  When Bennett arrived, I wanted to gift them a photo shoot so badly, but I worried that it would be weird for me to come out of nowhere (sort of) and ask them if I could take pictures of their baby.  Luckily I got brave and did it anyway…and it has become one of my favorite sessions to date!  I think I fell a little bit in love with Bennett in the process.  Really, can you blame me? :)
